About the Michael Chekhov International Academy

The Michael Chekhov International Academy is the platform where, director and acting coach, Joerg Andrees shares his experiences, knowledge and developments of over 30 years of work with the Michael Chekhov Technique. Creative artists, actors, directors, performers or those who want to develop their creative potential in an artistic way are welcome to the work. Instead of merely polishing an already visible surface, this work focuses on letting a blossom grow from what was not visible before. For this purpose we work with the means that the Russian actor Michael Chekhov (1891–1955) developed for his acting. Instead of pushing emotions we use our own personal imagination to create inspired and intuitive artistic work.
