WEEKEND WORKSHOP with LISA DALTON / AUDITIONS as “Little Pieces of Art”
A workshop designed to inspire you with tools for the art of interviews and auditions.
This fun and freeing workshop is designed to inspire you with a bountiful set of tools for embracing the art of interviews and auditions. Lisa Dalton will weave many elements of Michael Chekhov’s approach into every detail of the process from creating a strong preparation to delivering your performance with ease and exiting with grace. We will be up on our feet, practicing with film scripts or bring your own monologue to practice auditions for stage. Lisa will also share the art of Headshotology to support your marketing opportunities.
If any of the questions below arise for you, this workshop will help you fall in love with the audition challenges:
# Are you afraid that nervousness is going to ruin your performance?
# Are you scared that your mind will go blank during your audition or interview?
# Do you wish you could stop anxiety from paralyzing you?
With a few simple exercises and a little bit of discussion about the biology of stress and the very good reasons you have for experiencing it, we can transform that experience into a springboard for peak performance.
Do you wish you could make an intimidating space more friendly?
Would you love it if the adrenaline could be channeled into helping you be brilliant instead of making us so scared we can barely talk?
Would it help if you knew what the people you are presenting yourself to are wishing?
How differently would you feel when you truly trust your talent?
How confident could you be if you knew the world needs you to be doing what you want to do, what you love to do?
Sometimes just seconds before we start, the jitters start too. Do you want to know what to do then? Would it be fun to easily move forward from that moment?
